On Wednesday, Sept. 3, eight members of the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives (IAEC) toured Co-Line. Pella Cooperative Electric, Co-Line’s supplier of electricity, was asked to host the September meeting with the request to tour a local key account of PCEA. Doug Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of PCEA, immediately thought of Co-Line and was anxious to showcase Co-Line’s operations to other state-wide members. Eric Brand gave a two-hour tour of the entire Co-Line campus where the group asked many great questions and gained a better understanding of what all of Co-Line’s electricity consumption helps produce.

Fun Fact: PCEA is a distribution cooperative, which means they distribute power and do not generate their own electricity. PCEA purchases its electricity from Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO). Co-Line has had a long-standing relationship with both PCEA and CIPCO as a recipient of numerous expansion grants as well as reliable electricity.
