North Mahaska High School teachers started January with a visit to Co-Line during a staff externship day. The teachers went on a tour with Eric Brand and Bill Wilkerson after learning about the Co-Line history, and a question and answer session with Faye Brand and Derek Jack about the hiring process and how to better prepare students to enter the workforce.

Teachers learned more about career opportunities for current students and recent graduates at Co-Line during their visit. They left with ideas and knowledge to share with students about the potential of a career in manufacturing. The tour began with a free lunch from Co-Line as a token of appreciation for their investment in the next generation.

Later that month, high school students from different trade classes came to tour the Co-Line facilities. Bill Wilkerson and JT Walker led the students on a full tour. The teacher and students had insightful questions about the manufacturing process. The tour concluded in the Jasper building. The tour demonstrated the complete manufacturing process, starting in south and ending in assembly. Students gained a better understanding of the opportunities available in manufacturing. Co-Line hopes to see some of these students back again soon, as Co-Liners!
