The south building addition really began to take shape in August. All the framework (“red iron”) and related details were finished, and the west wall was completed. The east wall is up, but needs the final finishing touches as well as the glass panels that will be put in to match the existing facility. Also, the last week of August, the crew was putting in the insulation and steel for the roof.
“The project is still ahead of schedule and going very well,” said Rail Brand as he again noted the great work Jensen Builders has been doing.
In September, the interior concrete pouring process will begin, and the outside seeding will hopefully happen after rain prevented that step in August. Looking even further ahead, the south wall of the existing facility is scheduled to be tore down and put up on the south end of the addition the week of Oct. 17.
Several months into the 120,000-square-foot project, the thrill of growth at Co-Line is still very strong.
“These are great moments in time for Co-Line,” Rail said. “There’s a magic you can feel in the air, and it’s a very exciting time here.”
